Dear Mr. Fairey,

Replying to your letter of the 12th.inst.

We will let you have a complete report on the condition of your car. I have had a glance over it and am particularly impressed with the condition of the brakes. The drums are not scored and there is any amount of life left in the brake material.

We fitted to the rear of your car brake drums of different material to the front. The results are interesting to us because they show that either material is satisfactory.

You will be receiving a note as regards the cost.

I am delighted to hear that you are having a Bentley. Personally, as a two-seater, I enjoy driving the car much more than the Phantom (Don't tell Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} this).

The size of the Bentley was dictated a lot by the question of price and also that we did not want it to compete more than possible with the existing models.

Kind regards,

Yours sincerely,
