To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from EFC. c. Mr. Brock. c. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} X5783do EFC1/T4.11.27. 57 SEGMENT 20 HP. DYNAMOS. Of the above machines we have so far had three returned to us for inspection of the cause of failure :- No.1749. - EFC3/T22.12.26. We could find no reason whatever why this machine should have run its solder in normal running - we could only conclude that there must have been some fault in the external circuit. If our conclusion is incorrect, this is the only case of these machines which has actually run its solder in normal running. (extremely improbable.) No.1307. - EFC6/T16.5.27. Solder had just begun to run on this machine, and we concluded that it was due to sticky bushes as a result of overoiling, and possibly incorrect brush clearances. No.1739. - EFC3/T25.6.27. The cause of the failure of this machine was clearly due to a cutout fault. EFC. | ||
