Dear Sirs,

We are sending you under separate cover to-day a dozen sparking plugs called at present No.183/1304. This is a new detachable steatite plug, which we propose eventually to adopt as our standard pattern. The plug is a really detachable plug, that is to say, the steatite is permanently mounted in the gland, so that anybody can take the plug to pieces and put it together again without any difficulty. Further, the insulator is an easy one to clean. The plug gives satisfactory results on the various engines upon which we have tested it, and we suggest that this pattern might be suitable for both your 40/50 and your 20 H.P engines. We should be much obliged therefore if you would hand these plugs over to your Experimental Department to see if they find the plug satisfactory in every way.

Yours faithfully,

LODGE PLUGS LIMITED

....

Director.
