To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X775. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/W/J.20.10.30. VISIT TO U.S.A I should like an arrangement whereby we could draw money in America on letters of credit or some such scheme. As I understood from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} that this is to be entirely R.R. expense I suggest that to cover my own expenses, car expenses, and a return passage, there should be letters of credit for £200 for me to draw on in U.S.A. I have mentioned this matter to D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} and he says that he could arrange it if he gets the necessary authority. As regards insurance of the car, I have talked this matter over with D/L. and our proposal is that we shall insure it against third party in U.S.A. I should also like a personal insurance of £5,000 to cover all classes of accidents. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
