| Y224. To Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} E.1/HP.11.6.32. c. Wer. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} re Bensport Gearbox. Further to our memo E.8/HP.3.6.32, a car is no longer considered American if it is fitted with a central gear change. Prejudice in this respect has largely died out. If we did not mind Peregrine being similar to Bensport, and the central change is likely to be acceptable to Peregrine customers, then it is an opportunity for making the gearboxes absolutely interchangeable on Bensport and Peregrine.
