W.L.R & J.C.N 6/M Missives 3261 2.2.38 BRAMSHOTT OLD MILL, NEAR LIPHOOK, HAMPSHIRE. Dear Robotham, It is a long time since I have seen you, and I have often wondered how you are getting on. I have had one or two little troubles with my car and should have liked to have had a chat with you about them, but I am afraid that Derby is rather far from here. Do you remember the trouble I had with oil on the brakes? I reduced the lubrication by half, as you suggested, and my brakes have been fine. But, the springs started to squeak through lack of oil. It seems that one must have either no brakes or squeaky springs. Which, as Damon Runyon says, is not so hot. My silencer for the carburetter heater gases has now disintegrated. | ||
