"NEW PHANTOMCodename for PHANTOM I" CLUTCHES.

I attach a copy of Bt{Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer}3/EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}9.11.25. I understand there have been a number of cases of clutch jaggering on New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I cars, including the following:-

Chassis 69-MC, Fairclough. Bt.{Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer} reported; car went to N.
Chassis 17-HC, Hemery. Dealt with by CWB.
Chassis 50-HC, Lester. We are trying to get the car to N. as a result of Cr{Mr Cra???ster / Mr Chichester}'s report.
Chassis 54-HC, Hankey. Mentioned to us by Col. Cyril Hankey, brother of the owner, who drove the car with his brother to Sandwich on delivery and compared the clutch unfavourably with his own Silver Ghost of recent make.

CWB. has has several cases where he has been unable to pass cars for this fault and has had them remedied at N.

B.J.
