X4086 1. To EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} from EJ. Telephone message: 10-45 a.m. 31/3/22. (DL) X4086 X4219 Concerning testing Goshawks: what distance has the Goshawk which is in France already completed ? How soon will it have completed 10,000 miles ? My suggestion is that it is necessary to test the Goshawk for the first 50 Goshawks as quickly as possible. I think we need not be so quick to test the experimental parts for the Goshawk after the first 50. Therefore, the car which is now running 10,000 miles should continue, because presumably only a very few parts need be altered to make this car suitable to deliver the first 50. The car which Hives is now using could be used for testing new experimental parts for Goshawks after the first 50. The car which you are now sending to France could be used for testing the experimental parts which may be absolutely necessary for the first 50. I think it would be a great mistake to stop the express car, which contains probably 25% of the Goshawk which will be used on the first 50 cars delivered. Will you please telephone me. EJ. | ||
