TUNGSTEN POINTS

Further to our EFC9/T8.7.25, experiments re these tungsten points are still in progress, and the results on more recent points are more satisfactory.

(1) A 10,000 mile test of these was made on the bench, other items of the ignition being standard. These points labelled WB.{Mr Brazier/Mr Bell}54 are sent for your examination.

(2) A set was run on 8-EX in France for 10,000 miles and these are sent to you for inspection, labelled accordingly.

On subsequent tests, we have had the screw points slightly domed to ensure more correct bedding in the first instance without the difficulty of setting them right. Such a set has run for 10,000 miles on the bench and is sent for your inspection labelled WB.{Mr Brazier/Mr Bell}72.

In addition to the above completed results, we have several sets running on experimental chassis which have done various numbers of miles (results of which to date are not sufficiently advanced to comment upon), and in particular we have a set on 10-GIII for the 10,000 mile test in France, in which case there will also be a finer primary winding coil, which is hoped it will be possible to standardise.
