Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG.6/ET.6.3.41 - 2 - We understood that the main switch would be similar to that fitted to Rover cars. We consider that if the large speedometer and main switch as used on B.V are fitted and the instruments are grouped as shewn on RB.{R. Bowen}13004, the instrument panel will be too deep for Myth. Our reason for placing switches in the position shewn is to have the instruments and switches as a compact assembly that could be wired before fixing into the body, and also to be easily accessible for servicing. If the switches are distributed about the facia board, this arrangement will not be possible unless the whole instrument and facia board is treated as an assembly (if it can be so arranged). The wireless control unit was taken from a drawing supplied by Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/JD.{J. Draper - Frames} The operation of the knob will not be difficult as the instrument panel is forward of the capping. The heater switch we consider would be more accessible on the instrument board than on the heater, even if a rheostat is not fitted. We will endeavour to get the points cleared up and let you have the information required. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG. | ||
