Dear Mr.Steadman,

Some time ago you were interested in rheostats for Car Heaters.

When Mr.Lappin was last down here he mentioned that the rheostat on his car had gone stiff, and I promised to give him one. I have actually sent him two with different resistances, so that he can chose whichever is the more suitable.

I have asked him to give you the one which he doesn't want, as although it is a cheap job it is a good one, and you might find a use for it.
