Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} - from Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} K8430 Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}2/M29/4/26. PHANTOM STEERING. With reference to your memo Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG27/4/26, B.J. and I were discussing the best way of tackling the problem that Sales have put up to us, and one of the points about which he wanted me to ask you to give him further information, was - how far we had tested your proposal to improve this particular complaint, by changing the springs in the side steering tube. We would, of course, naturally like to adopt this, because it is the cheapest, if the tests have been sufficient, and it is likely to be satisfactory. He also wished to know, as soon as possible, what Hancock actually found in Paris to be the trouble, and if this change of springs is likely to cure this trouble. | ||
