For the attention of G.H.Grylls, Esq.

7th October, 1938.

Dear Sirs,

In reply to your letter of the 6th October, we also cannot understand the necessity of reducing the 7.00-17 Fort tyres to 20 lbs/sq.in. in order to achieve the same ride characteristics as with 6.50-17, as on theoretical grounds an alteration of the order of 2/3 lbs per sq.in. should bring about this result.

Possibly this point could be discussed in further detail on the occasion of the writer's next visit to the works, meanwhile, we are putting in hand 4, 7.00-17 'C' type covers with 4-ply casings, and as requested these will be branded "4 ply" on the walls.

It is hoped that they may be available by the end of next week and we shall write you when they are ready to go forward.

Yours faithfully,
For DUNLOP RUBBER CO., LTD.

Manager,
Car Manfrs. Division.
