| THE THINGS I SAID TO C. Customers cars pen Q. What is the chassis number of the car you are going to give Wilmot Breedon.? A.{Mr Adams} He doesn't know offhand but will send you a Memo. when he has looked it up. Q. Is the car at Park Ward's or, if not, where is it? A.{Mr Adams} Yes, it is at Park Ward's. Q. What are you going to charge him for it? A.{Mr Adams} To give a round figure, about £2000. He is writing to Wilmot Breedon about this tonight, and thinks he will give Breedon also a round figure to begin with as there are one or two details about which he is not quite sure yet. He will also let you know this when it has been decided. He was actually working on it when I rang him up, apparently. Q. Is there not some regulation about buying a new car? A.{Mr Adams} Yes. He has to get a permit from the Regional Transport Officer, (of the area in which he lives) of the Ministry of Transport. The licence will come from him. Q. We want to have the car up here to give it the once-over before Wilmot Breedon has it. A.{Mr Adams} This is quite O.K. He will see that this is done and will confirm some arrangement with you for getting it up here. (I didn't gather from this that he meant he would take the first step about making arrangements to get it up here, but that he would see that your request would be carried out.) on hearing further from you probably. | ||
