It was all arranged on the Experimental Dept's recommendation that the front shutters should be retained as they were the most efficient. It was afterwards re-considered by BJ. and R.{Sir Henry Royce} that it would be better to keep the rear shutters, with the idea that it would help to keep the petrol tank cooler.
