RADIATORS. X8260
BONNETS. X8250

The new experimental radiators and bonnets to be made should be of the latest type to make the radiator with integral shutters - look as thin as possible - i.e. -

(1) The neatest design, saving as much as possible - i.e. .1 minimum clearance for air coming out of the side tubes.
(2) Smaller tubes, 7/6.25 mm.
(3) Shorter tubes, 4 1/2" for Phantom.
(4) Side plate forming tank (single side plate) acting as cooling surface.

No money should be spent on high shouldered bonnets, etc.

The new R.{Sir Henry Royce} bonnet catch seems to act extremely well: it however should be less expensive, and lighter.

There is also the older pattern improved to permit the same way of handling the bonnet as the R.{Sir Henry Royce} pattern.

I am in favour of deleting the shutters, & only making louvred and plain bonnets. Our sports car should have a plain bonnet.

R.{Sir Henry Royce}
