With reference to the attached correspondence.
The petrol did escape from these filters whilst on test.
On one car to which they were fitted, we received complaints of the smell of petrol which we proved was due to the filters sweating.
We agree that most of the ordinary filters on the market suffer from the difficulty of making petrol-tight joints.
We are returning the unions. to Sir E.H. Graeme
