Dear Mr. Elliot,

You may possibly remember that we met when crossing on the Queen Mary in February, 1937 at which time I was taking my Rolls Royce with me to America. I have often wondered how you and Mr. Rowbotham enjoyed your visit to the States?

The position now is that I have decided to exchange my 1933, 20/25 h.p. Rolls Royce for a new four door, All-Weather Rolls Royce Wraith, and I am taking the liberty of writing you to find out, if by any chance, you can supply one with a performance more approaching the Bentley standard! A Bentley is too small for my require-ments but I understand that with persuasion Messrs. Rolls Royce are willing to supply me with a Wraith chassis with the steering wheel 2" lower than standard, and as the body which is being constructed by Messrs. Windovers, Ltd., should be comparatively light, and as short as possible, I would like to get the very best acceleration possible, and at least 80 m.p.h.

I understand from Windovers that chassis No. WMB-32 has been allotted, and is due for delivery to them at the end of January. Besides having the steering lowered can you possibly help me as suggested above.
