BIRMINGHAM.9.

For the attention of Mr. Fraser.

Dear Sirs,

With regard to the mechanically operated two leading shoe Girling Brakes which we are fitting to one of our experimental cars, we find it necessary to obtain figures for what we are calling the "Servo Coefficient" of the system. That is to say, the ratio - actual pressure between the lining and the moving brake drum, divided by the pressure obtained statically for the same pedal pressure.

We should like to know if you have any figures available using various linings.

As the writer will be in Birmingham on Monday next (Jan. 22nd) he would like to call on you at about 10.0 a.m. unless he hears from you to the contrary.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
