8.B.V. Bentley
15,000 miles test car.

We have had the body removed from this car for inspection and the chassis is now ready to be stripped. Will you please arrange to start on it as soon as possible.

We are circulating a mileage summary of the various components which we hope will provide the usual information that you require. The report on the road test will follow and we should like to issue this with your strip report, and corroborate with you for this purpose.

Will you please carry out the following special jobs in addition to your usual strip :-

1. Crack test pressed steel road wheels.

2. Measure end float in fan bearings.

3. Measure end float of water pump spindle.

4. Obtain complete analysis of front and rear shock damper characteristics before stripping.

5. Refer dashboard and body mounting inspection to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}

6. Replace No.7 identification plate on engine unit.

7. Collect and preserve all solid matter and residue found in cooling system (we have drained and examined the coolant).

8. Take note of sludge and residue in engine as the oil has not been changed during the mileage. This is to assess a value for the General Oil filter (we have drained and preserved the engine oil).

Please note that the sump and frame were damaged by a rock. The N.S.R. damper gland leaks very badly and the fronts fairly badly.
