| X4383 To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from EFC. EFC3/T4.2.25. RE 4-GII MILEAGE. I should be glad if you would let me know the mileage to date on 4-GII. We have on this chassis EG2 Morganite brushes on dynamo 470, and these will by now we think have completed 10,000 miles. It would also be convenient to us if you could get someone to inspect the condition of brushes and commutator and give us a short report. These brushes are proving to be the most suitable quality obtainable from Morganite, and as such are suitable for standardisation as a second source of supply in case of failure of supply of Le Carbone Brushes.
