2 ES/G29/10/21. To D.A. from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} (Struck through) Copy to C.J. (Struck through) BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} (Struck through) H.S.V RECEIVED ORIGINAL X4229 X.4219 RE "GOSHAWK II" - VALVE GEAR ROCKER. With regard to the question of the valve gear rocker raised by Mr. Hives in his report HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG26/10/21, the valve gear rocker was indicated on drawing LeC.1440 sent through 3/9/21, and a note was written against it saying, "rocker to have .187" oil hole through it". This drawing was sent through incomplete at the time owing to very great pressure of work, and it was expected that a detail of the rocker would be prepared in Derby with a .187" hole. As we have the original LeC.1440 here, we have drawn the hole in the rocker, and send it to you herewith. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
