Your letter of the 12th. ult. addressed to our Birmingham House, for the attention of Mr. W.H.Paull, has been handed to the writer for attention so far as the wheels are concerned. We would suggest, that in order to enable you to try out the small diameter tyres, we supply you with a set of Wire Wheels size 4 1/2" x 19 to take 6" tyres, as we can do this fairly easily, but you will appreciate that considerable expense will be entailed in making the same size of Artillery Steel Wheel. We shall therefore be glad to receive your instructions to put a set of these wheels in hand. We are enclosing our blue prints Nos: W.D.122 and W.D. 121, showing the types of Artillery Steel Wheels which we are at present supplying to you, on which we have superimposed the smaller diameter to show you the difficulty of making such a wheel.
