To OY. From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/MJ.1.1.30. Handwritten notes: x7810 x)820 With reference to your OY.5/16.12.29., we are interested to note your proposal that you may start the Phantom ll on production with a 19" well beased rim fitted with a 7" tyre. We ourselves are now standardising the 20" wheel. We suggest that it would be in your interest if you could let us have a pair of wheels and tyres of your proposed standard at the earliest possible opportunity so that we can try them out here and let you know whether there appear to be any drawbacks. At the same time we could try out any side steering tube settings to reduce sponginess and give you our recommendations on the subject. The following observations of a Phantom ll owner may interest you:- Maple Hayes, Lichfield. 21.12.29. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Derby. Dear Sirs, 68-WJ. She is just adorable. Yours truly, (Sgd) W.W. Worthington. Every good wish for the new year. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
