Phantom III Front Brakes. We send herewith N.Sch.5181 showing a modified stop for the front brakes as that previously instructed by N.Sch.5164 has been found by "C" section to foul the rear engine suspension. The stop now proposed is an aluminium die casting secured by the two bolts which hold the engine suspension to the frame. The engine suspension bracket and the forging for the idler lever are unaltered. This scheme comes into use with the deletion of the air dashpot which it is expected can be done as the result of the use of the rubber stop on the servo link to N.Sch. 5164. E/HDY.{William Hardy} N.Sch.5181 herewith. | ||
