c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Ew/JD.{J. Draper - Frames} Be. 604 22nd. December 1938. BY.15/N. Messrs. Park Ward & Co.Ltd., 473, High Road, Willesden, London, N.W.10. Dear Sirs, Re: Wraith 111 - All Metal Body for Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} We confirm that during the visit of Messrs. Evernden and Draper yesterday, the above body was discussed with Mr Ward, and he believed he could produce a reasonable body bottom side in steel without altering our existing body brackets. We should like to see a drawing of this when completed. If Mr Ward does have difficulty in producing a bottom side, will he please let us know as soon as possible. To reduce weight it was also agreed by Mr. Ward that not only the doors and boot lid{A. J. Lidsey} should be aluminium panelled, but all the shell as well, similar to the Bentley car he is now using himself. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. CHIEF ENGINEER - CHASSIS. | ||
