1033 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GR.{George Ratcliffe}7/MH.{M. Huckerby} 3rd. March 1938. The Zenith Carburetter Co. Ltd., Honeypot Lane, Stanmore, MIDDLESEX. For the attention of Mr.A.E.Palmer. Dear Sirs, Phantom III EEC.42. We are sending to you under seperate cover one .180 needle and seating which has given constant trouble of flooding on one of our trials cars. You will no doubt be pleased to replace same after inspection. 30 HP. D.C.42. It will be recalled that we returned to you a leather piston that had been sheared in the base of the rod. Will you please supply 3 more leather pistons complete with the bush length of 1.350" but minus the rod assembly, marked for the writer's attention. If possible we should like these to be strengthened at the bottom of the rod where the shearing occured. A covering order will follow later. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
