With regard to your request for particulars of the effect on the half-charge scheme by reducing the amount of field resistance. We found that by reducing the length 11" (approx 1/2) the cutting in speed of the dynamo was reduced to about 15 M.P.H. in the day running position and the maximum peak output in the day running condition increased by approx. 1 1/2 amperes to 11 amperes.
