Hancock - Head Chateauroux}3/JAB.27.4.36. From experience we have had on one or two units here we are inclined to think that the oil you have found in the clutch casing is Bijur oil which has run out through the annulus between the trunnion thrust piece and the sleeve on which the trunnion slides. For this reason we have had a thrust race with an oilite cage fitted to 22-G-V and have cut off Bijur lubrication to that point but have retained it to other parts of the trunnion. We suggest that if you find there is no further oil leakage after you have cut off all the central lubrication, you should then restore all the lubrication except the supply to the thrust race by blocking the horizontal hole in the trunnion.
