re GYZ-31
GYZ-40

With reference to your PN.{Mr Northey}27/WT2410.33, we have noted that there are complaints about the high speed performances of the above cars being poor and that GYZ-40 is bad for over-run between 35 and 48.

According to our records the tests as chassis and as complete cars seemed quite satisfactory as regards performance. We note, however, that GYZ-40 will be calling at the Works tomorrow (Friday) morning, and we have arranged to try this car, also establish figures of its comparative performance, also note the over-run to which you refer and to what extent we can cure same.

It is possible we may not be able to do much in the time at our disposal, but we shall certainly write you further after testing the car.

P.S:- Just received your PN.{Mr Northey}6/WT25.10.33. Will let you know at once should we consider car unfit for Press run. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}
