R.R. 235A (100T) (S.H. 159, 11-8-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2800 TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} ORIGINAL HIGHSPEED STEERING WOBBLES. [Handwritten: X457, X1152] We believe you are trying, or have tried, a shock absorber working horizontally, and either coupled to the cross steering tube, or the cross steering lever. In any case Mr. Royce is very interested in trying a Houdaille, or similar hydraulic shock absorber in this position. It would tell us whether there is anything in the idea, and also give us some information for the work on our own hydraulic damper. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} [Stamp: RECEIVED] | ||
