X7770 S/W Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re Cars in Experimental Department. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}21/E16.10.29 Copy to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} In Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/BE15.10.29 I see it mentions that 23-EX is at present having a new body fitted. I should be glad if you would let me know whether your department really requires this car for experimental work when the new body is fitted, bearing in mind the other cars of this type which you still have. We have, as you know, spent large sums of money this year on experimental work, and any economy in this direction which can be effected without detriment to the business is of importance.
