To Dm.{D. Munro} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to Cd. c. to Wer. c. to Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ✓ 2 ORIGINAL RECEIVED FEB 8 1922 EL/M16.2.22. GOSHAWK 11. THERMOMETER. X3601 We send you herewith drawing No. LeC 1535 shewing the manner in which we wish to leave provision for fitting a thermometer bulb to the Goshawk 11. cylinder head. A boss is required on the manifold side of the head at the rear, and a modified form of oil feeding also. Mr. Royce would like you to make an enquiry with a view to obtaining a thermometer bulb 1" shorter than the one shewn. The diameter could be increased to ½" so as to leave the capacity of the bulb unaltered. This shorter bulb would be more suitable and would go into the same boss shewn on LeC 1535. Would you kindly instruct the alteration to the head so that we shall be able to fit the thermometer when required. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
