QUAD PETROL PUMP. ------------------- We wish to know how this pump will behave with hot petrol. We should like you to carry out two tests, using in each case 3' 6" suction head. The pipes should be ½" and a filter should be included in the system. The pump is run off 12 volts. TEST 1 - Heat up the petrol in the tank to 90° C. as fast as possible, and find the priming time with no delivery head. If the pump fails to prime, the whole test to be repeated at 80° C. TEST 2 - Obtain delivery temperature curve up to 90° C., using a delivery head of 1'. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/MHR.{M. H. Rigby} | ||
