Improved lubrication ensures a better supply and less risk of big end failure through lack of oil.

The results of the experiments on main bearings is not complete and results of the following will be useful-

P.26.JD.{J. Draper - Frames} Mr.Pierre Dreyfus' car.
RR.56. rear main bearing and big ends.

E.S.G.4. Paris Trials Car.
RR.56. rear main bearing and big ends.

G.B.IV. 15,000 miles test.
Hoyts H.J. F/M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} main bearing, RR.56. big ends.

B.3. A further unit being assembled for test in France.

A.C.I. main bearings, RR.56. big ends.

The external Tecalemit filter as proved on last 15,000 miles test keeps the main bearings and crank more free from grooves, consequently reduces wear.

Comparisons of with and without filter are shown on Photographs 10 and 11.
