S/W. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 1160 ? Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}5/KW25.1.38. Wind Noises - All Cars. As arranged at the last Chassis Conference it is proposed that you should let me have a list of all the points to be observed by Coachbuilders for reducing wind noises to a minimum. Naturally, I should like to have this list as soon as possible, so that all Coachbuilders can receive early instructions in this still troublesome matter. Incidentally, I was driving Mr. A.R.Smith's own Ford V8 this week-end, and from the point of wind noises it was the quietest car I have ever been on, in fact there was not any wind noise at all that one could ordinarily hear. I noticed that apart from the piping round the inside of the doors when shut, sealing the gaps, there was a good deal of rubber on the door itself, and the result was very effective. Cx.{Major Len W.
