SECRET X 350 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner}1/HP.2.5.35. c. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} re SpectreCodename for Phantom III Steering Controls. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/KW.25.4.35. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}14/E.26.4.35. We send you herewith LeC.4480 showing the modified controls as per Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s instructions. Also herewith LeC.4483 showing another design. This is E's version of how to improve the appearance, and it has the advantage that the fingers cannot be trapped between the controls and the steering wheel spokes. Will you please have these models made in wood and mounted on steering wheels. In the case of LeC.4483, it will be necessary to fill in the centre of the steering wheel in a temporary manner by fitting a disc between the spokes to match up with the guard ring on the control dome. E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} LeC.4480 herewith. LeC.4483 herewith. | ||
