Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} 1. Coinciding the guns as previously stated (see QW.131) the fixing bolts should also coincide. At the moment the type A.A. gun dimension is approximately .125 ins the greater. 2. Reduce the height of the type A.A. gun above the barrel in the vicinity of the rear fixing to that of the .500 dia. Browning. 3. Reduce the width at the breech in plane of the type A.A. gun to that of the Browning. There would be no difficulty in getting Supermarine to install our guns experimentally if this were done, but should we call for any modifications to the wing structure, a real obstacle would be encountered. We are not going any further with our installation schemes but shall await your comments and proposals. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
