Dear Sirs,

CARBURETTORS.

We are still experiencing trouble with the float chamber studs coming out when unscrewing the float chamber cover retaining nut.

It would seem that one of the troubles is due to the fact that when tightening the nut down to position the whole of the thread on the stud is taken up, the nut then binds on the unthreaded part of the stud and becomes "jammed" so that when endeavouring to unscrew the nut again the stud unscrews from the float chamber. We therefore suggest that the thread is extended sufficiently to check this trouble.

We shall be pleased to have your views on this matter.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
