To Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to MOR. x.1775 EFC Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG9.2.21. RE. MECHANICAL WASHING MACHINE. In most of the American Factories I visited, I noticed that they were all equipped with a Mechanical Washing Machine. Greasy or dirty parts were placed on a conveyor which conveyed the parts through a tunnel from which a boiling solution was squirted on from all sides. The parts came out at the other end perfectly clean and dry. I saw several sizes of these machines; one would think, from their appearance, that they were fairly cheap.
