For the attention of Mr.Bogg.

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letter of the 6th inst. For the pair of 13/16" spindles we should like levers to the rear of the Bentley. Could you let me have drawings of all your various levers so that we can quote a number when stating the type of levers required.?

I have not actually seen the patterns and core boxes, but no doubt they are in our Works and I will get the necessary casing made quickly.

In a Month's time we are sending a Bentley to France for testing. I am hoping that this car will have your hand control dampers both front and rear.

I am returning to you one of the balanced valve dampers which has apparently got a replenishing valve stuck. As we are very busy at the moment on our own damper problems, we should be much obliged if you could put this right. For the soft position of the hand control we require a load of 60 lbs. at the pin bolt both for Bump and Rebound strokes on this damper.

These new hand control dampers are certainly a large improvement for lightness of control, but I am afraid they will be stiffer than desired when connected to our column control.

How is the single spring valve progressing.? We are not too happy with it, but have temporarily had to give it a rest.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
