To HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} -3- Articulated connecting rods are not favored, owing to the variation on the two cylinder banks and also reliability is doubted. The design of connecting rod is a solid forked type of similar design to original Condor (See sketch) which is lighter, more reliable, less costly and much more simple with regard to bearing replacement. The cylinders are to be of separate construction, similar to Curtis, with cylinder head of Poultice type. | ||
