Referring to the writer's call upon you yesterday and your criticism of the copper pipe fitting arrangements, he has had an opportunity of investigating this matter with our Fitting Manager who admits that the pipes, as fitted, should be secured at various points. Unfortunately when our Engineer visited your Works for the purpose of installing these jacks he had no securing clips available and these were afterwards sent on - by arrangement with Mr. Bowring who very kindly promised to see that they were fitted. In view of the information given regarding the rather abnormal tests to which this Bentley Car (on which our Jacks are fitted) is subjected, we would like to arrange to send along an Engineer for the purpose of re-arranging our piping in order to ensure the best results. Perhaps you will kindly suggest a convenient date when this work can be done and we will arrange accordingly. Further, also, in reference to our conversation as regards unsprung weight, the undersigned finds on investigation that the two Jacks complete with brackets and pipe on the front axle weigh 17 lbs. 2 ozs.
