NEW PHANTOMCodename for PHANTOM I MODIFICATIONS.

Referring to R2/M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} 15.10.25. I would like to remark in passing that we are issuing the gear box to the Experimental, and that the whole of the detail drawings for it will be completed in the course of approximately a week. Practically all the details for the box were completed, and the only reason we had not pushed it into the Works was that I was pressing Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} for information in regard to the side members of the frame, which would undoubtedly represent the longest job in view of the fact that dies had to be produced to make same. It was my intention, immediately I obtained definite information in regard to the frames, to round up the chassis and issue it together, so that none of it would be lost.

Apparently now it is proposed to use the new gear box on a new design which I take it we had better give a distinctive symbol, and would suggest 'EAC.S.' for same.

EAC.S. will then consist of the following parts:-

1. Modified Gear Box.
2. Modified frames with possibly different positions of cross members. The frame modifications mostly
