BODY BRACKETS, STEP IRONS & SIDE LEVERS - INDIA 3. X.5390 X.5830 We send herewith N.sch.2620 shewing the body brackets, step iron and side levers for India 3. The rear wheel as shewn and other features which you may have already have been shewn here to enable the coachbuilders to build the first body. SIDE LEVERS. These are of the subframe type - see G.52558. The gear stick is the present std. length and has the present position relative to the dash. The brake lever is 22.500 ins. long and is thickened to .312 ins. as already instructed. From the centre line of the car the knob is 19 ins. The gear knob is placed to suit. The floorboards should be made gas-tight as already instructed for std. mounting of bodies. We have yet to deal with the same problem on subframe cars. BODY BRACKETS. These are all existing pieces. The forward one has modified bolting to suit the crossmember. The forward bracket at use on the off-side at present will not be needed. N.sch.2637 already sent you shews the bkt. at the end of the battery cross-member. STEP IRONS. We shew the positions of the step irons. These will be made from existing pressings in the case of all those aft of the dash. The one forward of the dash will be dealt with in | ||
