Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 1st inst., and are despatching to you 2 sets of parts for N.Sch.4531.

These at the moment have rubber fitted which has been moulded, but the adhesion is very bad.

The object of N.Sch.4531 is naturally to reduce vibration, so we are hoping that your method of fitting rubber will not reduce the flexibility of the rubber. Perhaps it would be better for you to use a lower durometer figure.

The radial load on the rubber should not exceed 100 lbs. The end load and angular movement are negligible.

We should be very grateful if you would urge these rubbers and return them marked for the writer's attention.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
