We are instructed to prepare a 20 HP. car for 10,000 miles test in France. It is necessary to order more material for the 20 HP. There are two features which we are very anxious to get on the car as soon as possible and it has been agreed that these sections shall be held up until the car has completed one weeks running in France 1. Improved steering geometry to N.sch.2401. This is a definite improvement and we consider any improvement on the steering is very valuable because it is a part which is most criticised. 2. Battery ignition with scrubbing contacts. 3. Modified starter clutch. At the same time we wish to fit to this car :- 4. Modified gearbox to give improved floorboard clearance and improved ground clearance. 5. Modified equaliser to improve ground clearance. 6. Modified undershield. 7. Spring loaded front end side steering tube. We propose using 9-G3 car for this test. As soon as the parts are fitted, the car will be sent to France. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
