(2) E.3/HP.27.2.35. as presspan or fibre, and the scuttle should also be lined out with 1/4" felt. We propose to carry the front edge of the carpet part of the way up the dash. (e) In the case of a boot, this must be lined out with 1/4" felt covered with a suitable layer of protecting material such as thin hide. In the case of a limousine fitted with a tail some similar treatment will be required to prevent the reflection of noise from this feature, and this treatment must be suitable for exposure when the tail is opened for carrying luggage. I have arranged with EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} to draw up a specification for the complete noise insulation of SpectreCodename for Phantom III 3 body and of any modifications required in respect to the arrangement of accessory drives or connections on the dash to render it suitable for this scheme. instructed I have also asked him to prepare a similar specification for a SpectreCodename for Phantom III limousine as we propose to convert No.1. SpectreCodename for Phantom III body in this way, so that we shall have a direct comparison with a similar body, namely, No.2. which is not so treated. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
