LAY-OUT OF AXLE CONTROL DAMPER. --------------------------- Referring to the above, shown on N.Sch.2293, for obtaining a parallel control for the front axle, we would like to point out that you have shown the old section tyre, whereas of course at present, and for future requirements, it is necessary to make provision for tyres 6.750" in section, and 35" outside diameter. The amount of lock available under such conditions is 35° left hand, and 32° right hand. The amount of right hand lock available, namely, 32°, is what we find we are able to specify definitely on production. If we specify a greater angle of lock than this there are quite a number of chassis it is not possible to produce same on. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By | ||
