I cannot understand why you fear getting the Chrysler scheme incorrect in balance, because if the eight smaller weights are wrong the quantity the static balancing will shew. Regarding the position of the weights the machining by the assistance of the divivsing plate would ensure this. As far as we can see if the milling cutter is set correctly for the ends it will do the intermediate surfaces correctly provided it is not moved as regards the finishing cut. In the case of the temporary scheme LeC.2948. the table of the machine can be moved over exactly the .125 suggested before the intermediate cut is taken. Finally we say that should any error arise in the milling of the crank or the construction of the balance weights it should be detectable by measurement, or should assert it-self in the static balancing.
